We encourage you to visit our shelter on a regular basis to meet the available pets. Because we have a high volume of pets arriving each week, we encourage you to visit our website often and check out our adoptable dogs and cats or visit in person. Our shelter is located at 8890 NW Glades Cut Off Road in Port St. Lucie.
Adding a dog or cat to your family can be a 20-year commitment. Different breeds or groups display particular characteristics. It is important to research breeds, and realistically consider the time, space, training needs and resources you can regularly provide for any particular pet before you adopt. Minimum Requirements:
- You must be 18 years of age to adopt any animal
- Valid driver’s license or state ID including your current address
- Landlord or parent’s approval if applicable
- “Get acquainted visit” with animal and household family members
- Pre-adoption visit with any other dogs living at the prospective adoptee’s home
- We reserve the right to refuse any adoption
